[There's miles of one color behind Kevin's face and he looks really confused. Possibly a bit alarmed, too.]

What... What the hell happened? Everything's huge. Is this some kind of... giant fake Barge? Or some kind of joke? Was I drugged? And... [His voice drops to a mutter and his cheeks take on a slightly red tinge.] I think I'm stuck. [Great. Just great. He's sixteen and can't get out of bed on his own.]

A... flood? [Frown.] Water doesn't make stuff get this big. It just makes things wet.

[And then he processes her second sentence. The look on his face might be a bit comical in its shock and dismay.] Days? I'm going to be stuck on my bed for days?! How am I supposed to get to the dining room?

No one's told you about the floods? [She almost never as to explain this, this is kind of cool.]

It doesn't bring water, it brings magic. And it changes some people, like this one. [A shrug] Someone will come get you. Or bring you food. Someone always does.

No. We don't know why it changes some people and not others. [A shrug.] It doesn't last.

[He stares at the screen for a moment. No one ever told him not to whine before. At least not that he can remember. Finally, he closes his mouth. He's not offended, not really. Just shocked.]

[And she stares back, eyebrows finally rising at his silence.] Don't you know how to talk without whining?
