About demon marks? I don't know what they look like. Something black, I think, though. They're kind of like parasites, I guess. But they're how demons first come into our world. They just make the person stronger at first. Well, make their powers stronger. Eventually, they change you, though. Make you want to hurt people and stuff. And when they're strong enough, they rip their way out of you. Only way to get rid of them is to transfer them to someone with stronger powers or to take a second demon mark. But that way would kill you. And once they rip out of you, they can possess people or make themselves become someone and replace them.

They like making people hurt. When I got possessed, she possessed Charise, too, just because she was my girlfriend. When Joanne looked in my mind for my memories of the demon, she ended up in her mind somehow.
